Congratulations Matthew Gaska!

Six-year-old Matthew Gaska of Florida captured the true essence of birthday bliss in his photo entry, which won him the top spot in this year's Balloon Time "Put A Face On Fun" contest.

"We were very surprised," said Matthew's mother, Christine Gaska, who entered her son in the contest on a whim. "We couldn't believe he won out of all of those kids."

Matthew's birthday-inspired photo beat out the more than 2,200 entries submitted in this year's contest. In addition to receiving $1,500 toward his education, Matthew participated in a professional photo shoot and will be featured on Balloon Time packaging for a year. Fifty first-prize winners also each received a complimentary Balloon Time Helium Balloon Kit.

Always seeking adventure, Matthew loves riding roller coasters at the theme parks near his home in Florida, and his ultimate dream is to become a race car driver when he grows up. He also enjoys taking karate classes in his spare time, and his favorite television show is Power Rangers.
